PPG ranked fourth in the chemicals category, receiving high scores for social responsibility and use of corporate assets.
PPG has recently announced that the company has been once again recognised by Fortune Magazine as one of the most admired companies. The group achieved the highest marks in social responsibility and use of corporate assets criteria, so it ranked fourth in the chemicals industry category of the 2023 Most Admired Companies® List. Furthermore, it has also increased its overall score compared with the previous year, ranking #235. PPG has been on the list for fifteen years.
The study led by Fortune magazine, considered to be one of the best reputation rankings, measures the largest companies and their reputations within their respective sectors. To determine the industry rankings, companies has been scored by industry peers on a 1-10 scale on nine reputation drivers: innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, long-term investment, financial soundness, quality of products and services and global competitiveness.
