Spartek commissioned to SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES an environmentally-friendly and automated inline vacuum coating system.
SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG has recently announced that it has successfully installed its DECOLINE II system at the Wisconsin (U.S.A.) plant of Spartek, Inc., a company operating in the spirits closures and cosmetic packaging markets.
DECOLINE II is an environmentally-friendly and high-volume fully automated inline vacuum coating technology that allows a fast and efficient process for several applications, such as cosmetic displays and packaging components. The system has been designed to support the environmental awareness, ensure the efficient use of resources and avoid unnecessary CO2
emissions.
“The simplicity of product flow between each module without cross contamination from one step to the next is unlike anything I have seen before. The DECOLINE II robotic spray stations and part cleaning module provide us increased quality standards and new and exciting manufacturing capabilities,” stated George Park IV, the CEO of Spartek, Inc.
“The DECOLINE II by SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES integrates the metallization in vacuum (sputtering) as well as all lacquering and pre-processing steps in one production run and, in this course, moves the components automatically through all processing steps,” explained Stefan Rinck, the CEO of SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG.
With the installation of DECOLINE II, Spartek has now three inline metallising and coating systems, as well as traditional vacuum metallising technology, injection moulding machine and assembly and post-decoration shops.
