The ISCC PLUS certification will allow allnex customers to benefit from verified biogenic carbon content in their products.
allnex, a supplier of resins for industrial coatings, has obtained the ISCC PLUS certification for seven of its production sites globally.
The ISCC PLUS certification will enable the company to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of its products and ensure traceability from origin to end user. Furthermore, this certification guarantees compliance with strict social, economic and environmental criteria.
"This certification is a significant reference of our dedication to sustainability and innovation. It not only evidences our decarbonization efforts but also aligns with our recently announced commitment to a 30% reduction in Scope 3.1 emissions by 2030,” has stated Miguel Mantas, CEO of allnex.
ISCC PLUS certified allnex sites
- Bergen-op-Zoom (Netherlands) and Werndorf (Austria): polyesters and polyacrylates;
- Romano d’Ezzelino (Italy): mass-balance Polyesters;
- Bien Hoa (Vietnam): polyacrylates;
- Drogenbos and Schoonaarde (Belgium): polyester/polyether/polyurethane-acrylates and multi-functional monomers;
- Lilleström (Norway): amino resins.
“We are proud to support our customers in their sustainability journeys. ISCC PLUS certification provides assurance of the biogenic carbon content in our products. This certified biogenic carbon content can be taken as a carbon footprint reduction credit according to specific standards. The fact that ISCC had to create and define new chemical categories fitting some of our technologies, shows that allnex truly is a pioneer in adopting ISCC PLUS certification,” has added Davy De Clercq, Head of Sustainability at allnex.
