The Apprenticeship Service of the British Coatings Federation made around 600 apprenticeship programmes available in England.

On the occasion of the 2023 UK National Apprenticeship Week, the British Coatings Federation (BCF) encouraged employers from the coatings industry to take advantage of the wide range of apprenticeships available through its Apprenticeship Service. As a matter of fact, there are almost 600 available apprenticeship programmes in England alone with at least 95% of the training costs funded by the government.

BCF has organised together with the Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA) a service to help companies operating in the paints and coatings industry to help find and hire new apprentices across all disciplines and functions. The service, which has been purpose-built for the members of the associations, can also help businesses to leverage their UK Apprenticeship Levy funds.

“Apprenticeships are a great cost-effective way of developing the knowledge and skills of the workforce, equipping young professionals with the know-how to set them up for a career in their chosen industry. BCF actively supports apprenticeship schemes and we hope to see more members taking up opportunities to train employees across the coatings sector in future. We believe we have some great solutions for our members to take advantage of, and apprenticeships are a great way to either upskill existing staff or bring in new recruits,” has stated Tom Bowtell, the CEO of the British Coatings Federation. “Our team at the BCF Apprenticeship Service are fully committed to helping the coatings industry with this significant challenge faced with recruiting new staff in the current climate. So, check out our Coatings Careers Hub today and find out how you can make a difference.”
