The new pump from CIRCOR, specifically developed for paints and coatings, can minimise downtime to allow quick transitions between colours.
CIRCOR has launched its ‘Chameleon’ pump for the paints and coatings industry, a technology which minimises downtime by offering quick and effective flushability – thus allowing for rapid transitions between different colours.
As a matter of fact, this new pump has a rotary-spur gears to facilitate a smooth and continuous flow, eliminating the need for check valves, accumulators and complex hydraulic circuitry that often introduce operational hassles and additional costs.
Moreover, the Chameleon pump features an integrated active flowmeter which provides closed-loop speed control of precise components, ensuring accurate flow control without the necessity for a secondary flowmeter. The pump maintains stable and repeatable flow control, handling variations in temperature, viscosity and pressure. It also incorporates a leak-free triple lip-seal design that provides redundant sealing, reducing maintenance needs compared to traditional packing or face seals, while ensuring a cleaner and safer operational environment.
The Zenith Chameleon Pump is compact, measuring only 2.5" x 1.9" and weighing between 1 and 1.5 Kg, without compromising power by embodying full-size features in a small, lightweight package. The innovative technology is set to enhance material handling with its precision and efficiency, adapting seamlessly to the varying demands of coating applications.
