Jotun strengthens humanitarian efforts, supporting civilians affected by conflict in the Middle East.

The paints and coatings supplier Jotun has reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian aid by donating over $182,000 to support civilians in conflict-affected areas of the Middle East. As a longtime partner of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, Jotun has been instrumental in providing essential assistance to those impacted by instability in the region.

“Volunteers from the Red Cross and Red Crescent organization in all the countries in the region are now on call around the clock to ensure that people in a very stressful situation get the help they need - both by offering food, health services and a roof over their heads”, has commented Jørgen Haldorsen, from the Norwegian Red Cross.

The situation in the Middle East remains unpredictable, leaving many people living in constant fear. The urgent need for clean water, health services and support for refugees who have been forced to abandon their homes has never been more critical. Jotun's donation aims to alleviate some of these pressing challenges and provide hope to those affected by the ongoing crisis.

“A part of our Corporate Responsibility strategy is to take responsibility in the areas where we operate, and Jotun wants to contribute with financial support in emergency situations in countries where Jotun is located. By choosing Red Cross and Red Crescent as our partner, we know that the money is spent according to our intention”, has stated the Group Communications Director Øyvind Willumsen Haugå.
