LANXESS has recently received top ratings from the non-profit organisation CDP for its efforts in climate and water protection, earning grade of A in the Climate category.
The accolade highlights LANXESS’ transparency and comprehensive reporting on climate-related activities, as well as its concrete actions to combat climate change. Companies awarded an A must demonstrate robust strategies, such as setting science-based targets and implementing a clear climate action plan. LANXESS has been reporting its environmental data to CDP since 2012. In addition to its climate leadership, LANXESS also received an A- rating for its responsible management of water resources. CDP praised the company’s commitment to sustainable water use and risk mitigation.

CDP drives environmental disclosure from companies to improve transparency around greenhouse gas emissions, water security and forest preservation. In 2025, more than 24,700 companies submitted data to CDP, making it one of the world’s most comprehensive environmental data platforms. CDP’s reporting now encompasses over 66% of global listed market capital, solidifying its role as a benchmark for environmental accountability in the corporate sector.
