The new President of PPG Asia Pacific Xiaobing Nie will help the company to further grow in the industrial coatings market.
The global manufacturer of paints and coatings PPG has recently announced that Xiaobing Nie will become the new president of the Asia-Pacific region, effective 1st
August 2023. She will however maintain her position as vice-president of the Industrial Coatings division in China and of Global Consumer Products.
Nie has a bachelor’s degree in economics law from the Shanghai International Studies University as well an MBA from the William & Mary Mason Business School. Speaking also Portuguese, she has held several marketing and commercial roles in China and Brazil before joining PPG in 2021.
The new president will remain based in Shanghai and will report to Kevin Braun and Chancey Hagerty, respectively the senior vice-presidents of the Industrial Coatings and Automotive Refinish Coatings segments.
