PaintExpo, the world's leading trade fair for industrial coating technology, will take place from 14th to 17th April 2026 in Karlsruhe (Germany).

The upcoming edition of PaintExpo, the world’s leading trade fair for industrial coating technology, is set to take place from 14th to 17th April 2026 in Karlsruhe (Germany). The event has already drawn interest from over 260 companies, who have collectively secured around 10,000 m2 of exhibition space.

In fact, more than 70% of the exhibition space from the previous edition has already been booked, much to the satisfaction of the organisers. As the foremost platform for global product launches, industry trends, future technologies and innovations in every aspect of industrial coating technology, PaintExpo continues to follow the successful trajectory of past years, maintaining its position as the world’s leading trade fair without losing momentum.

“The response from the industry has been great. This gives us the incentive to further advance the internationalisation of the world’s leading trade fair PaintExpo and to focus on the latest developments and topics. Having worked at Leipziger Messe for a long time, she benefits from her cross-industry experience in the trade fair and congress business and, together with other new team members, brings fresh impetus. Companies that want a very specific exhibition space should decide quickly. For all others, the registration deadline is the end of November 2025,” has stated Carmen Bender, Project Director of PaintExpo.

Among the companies that have already confirmed their participation are:

This strong response from both domestic and international exhibitors means that the share of foreign participants currently stands at around 50%. Italy and Switzerland are particularly well represented, alongside other European countries such as France, Poland, Spain, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands. Exhibitors from further afield, including Turkey, India, Egypt, China and Cyprus, will also be present.

Moreover, one of the most noticeable innovations set to define PaintExpo going forward is its refreshed visual identity. The new design places a stronger emphasis on vibrant colours – a fitting choice, as 'Paint' is not only part of the event’s name, but also lies at the very core of its theme. This visual update will play a key role in enhancing PaintExpo’s brand presence and marks an important step in the ongoing development of the platform as it continues to spotlight emerging trends and technologies in the years to come.
