The new version of the colour change block from J. Wagner GmbH is suitable for several low-pressure applications in robotic and automatic systems.

J. Wagner GmbH has recently launched a new version of its colour change block for liquid paint applications, that can be configured in several ways and is suitable for multiple low-pressure applications in both robotic and automatic systems.

Colour change blocks are indispensable if several hues are employed in an automatic liquid coating system and, therefore, frequent colour changes are necessary. As a matter of fact, automated painting systems must be able to ensure high cycle rates. So, in order to keep interruptions to ongoing operations to a minimum, fast and reliable colour changes are crucial.

The new colour change block from the international manufacturer of equipment for painting and coating operations allows to simply select the desired application medium via the respective pneumatically controllable valve, while the dead space-free inner geometry of the block reduces the time required for flushing and the consumption of flushing agents. Furthermore, the configuration with two or more output channels offers further time savings: while the active colour is being applied, the other channel can be flushed and a second colour can be applied.

Moreover, thanks to its size and modular principle – with which several valve blocks can be flexibly arranged in a row – and the many connection options such as for gear pumps or material pressure regulators, the new colour change block from J. Wagner GmbH can be adapted to a wide variety of requirements and can be perfectly integrated into various automated systems (for example: on a robot arm, in installations with linear axes or in 2K systems). In addition, depending on the material applied, needle or diaphragm valves can be installed to increase the service life even for abrasive materials.
