Hans-Joachim Müller will support AkzoNobel in expanding its presence and connections within the global paints and coatings market.

has announced the nomination of Hans-Joachim Müller to its Supervisory Board, who currently serves as Chair of the Supervisory Board of TIB Chemicals AG and is a member of the Supervisory Board of Lanxess AG.
“With Hans-Joachim joining, we look forward to continuing to create long-term value for all our stakeholders. He brings a wealth of knowledge in science and experience in the chemicals industry. We wish him every success in his new role,” has stated Ben Noteboom, Chair of AkzoNobel's Supervisory Board.
The AGM will also mark the retirement of three Supervisory Board members:
- Patrick Thomas, who joined in 2017 and was a member of the Audit Committee
- Dick Sluimers, appointed in 2015 and Chair of the Remuneration Committee
- Byron Grote, Deputy Chair of the Supervisory Board and Chair of the Audit Committee, who has served since 2014
