Arkema Establishes UV/LED/EB Technologies Innovation Laboratory at Its Japanese Technical Center

The expanded UV/EB testing capabilities of the Kyoto Technical Center strengthen Arkema’s ability to accelerate new business and product developments for its customers and partners in the coatings market.

Arkema has announced the addition of a UV/LED/EB technologies laboratory at its Kyoto Technical Center (Japan). This move aims to strengthen the company’s ability to innovate and address customer needs for UV/LED/EB curable resins and additives for specialty coating applications.

“This expansion will strengthen the development of Arkema’s portfolio of solutions synergies and innovation as well as promote Sartomer® UV-LED and EB curing technologies, which are very low VOC and lower carbon intensive, in Japan. The new UV-LED-EB lab will accelerate the development of local sustainable solutions that will support local and global customers to design their next generation of solutions,” has stated Shinichi Sato, President & Representative Director Arkema K.K.
