Ringier awarded BYK with the Innovation Company of the Year prize and Technology Innovation Award for its solid associative thickeners.
The international provider of specialty chemicals BYK has recently announced that it has been honoured by Ringier with two prestigious awards: the Innovation Company of the Year prize and the Technology Innovation Award. The two prizes were handed over in person in Shanghai (China) to the head of the laboratory for decorative coatings Becky Zhang and Jia Cheng, who is the R&D Surface Lab Manager of the company.
Each year, Ringier recognises the most innovative products and companies. On 31st May 2023, BYK has received the Innovation Company of the Year award for the second time for its innovative and environmentally friendly solutions and the Technology Innovation Award for the RHEOBYK-7650, RHEOBYK-7670 and RHEOBYK-7690 solid associative thickeners, that have been chosen for their excellent product properties – covering the entire shear range – and for being environmentally friendly.
Based on HEUR technology, the thickeners are supplied as flakes, which prevent dust formation, and can still be perfectly incorporated directly or via a pregel. The solid delivery form means that they do not require the addition of biocides to prevent microbial infestation. So, they are recommended for several coatings applications as well as in adhesives and sealants.
