Expanding NiSAT technology production capacities enables Elementis to meet the growing demand for sustainable, high-quality paints and coatings in Asia.
Elementis has recently announced that it has expanded its NiSAT technology production capacity in China by establishing a cutting-edge facility in Shanghai. The NiSAT (Non-Ionic Synthetic Associative Thickeners) technology developed by the international manufacturer of specialty chemicals for paints and coatings can provide superior rheological properties compared to traditional hydrophobic thickening methods, effectively resolving formulation challenges.
“Expanding our NiSAT technology production to China strategically allows us to cater to the evolving needs of the coatings industry in this dynamic market. This move underscores our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer-centricity as we continue to empower our clients worldwide with innovative solutions,” has stated Luc van Ravenstein, the vice-president of the Performance Specialties division at Elementis.
“Recognised for its unparalleled performance and eco-friendly characteristics, NiSAT technology has become essential in modern coatings formulations. By establishing production capacity in China, Elementis aims to capitalise on the growing market opportunities in the region while ensuring seamless access to NiSAT additives for clients globally,” has added Huibin Zhao, the president of Elementis China.
The recent expansion bolsters the global footprint of Elementis and its dedication to fostering local partnerships and economic growth in the region, aiming to deliver customer value while minimising environmental impact.
“NiSATs play a fundamental role in enhancing coatings performance. Our recent investments in Livingston, Scotland, and our Shanghai facility demonstrate our commitment to expanding production capacity and meeting market demand. We take pride in being the only global additives supplier of these technologies with manufacturing capabilities in North-America, Europe, and Asia, enabling us to efficiently serve large global clients,” has concluded Arthur Norman, Senior Vice-President Global Supply Chain & Manufacturing at Elementis.
