Evonik places among the top one percent of rated companies thanks to platinum for sustainability from EcoVadis.
EcoVadis has recently awarded the international specialty chemicals manufacturer Evonik with the platinum rating for its achievements in sustainability, that rank the company among the top 1% of businesses rated by EcoVadis in the past year.
“The platinum award from EcoVadis reflects the quality of our sustainability management system and demonstrates our commitment to transparency throughout the value chain. We are continuously advancing the topic together with our stakeholders. To this end, the company is looking at the entire value chain: In addition to its own production and business processes, in particular the supply chain and the benefits of the products in customer applications,” has stated Thomas Wessel, Chief Human Resources Officer and Labor Director at Evonik and member of the Executive Board.
The sustainability Assessment from EcoVadis analyses the performances of companies according the protection of the environment, the labour and human rights, the corporate ethics and a sustainable procurement. Evonik is also a founding member of the chemical industry initiative ‘Together for Sustainability’, which aims to increase transparency and sustainability in the global supply chains by conducting uniform assessments and audits of suppliers and using additional training.
