Hartmut Herdin, managing director of fairXperts and branch manager of FiT e.V., died unexpectedly on 13th November 2024 at the age of 70.
The private trade fair organiser fairXperts has sadly announced that Hartmut Herdin – its managing director and co-founder and head of the branch of the FiT e.V. trade association – died unexpectedly on 13th
November 2024 at the age of 70, leaving behind his wife Rita, two adult children and five grandchildren.
Herdin has helped to organise and manage several conferences, exhibitions and trade fairs dedicated to industrial components cleaning and deburring technologies. As a matter of fact, he is considered the inventor of the parts2clean
trade show and founder of DeburringExpo, the international trade fair for deburring technologies and precision surfaces which is set to become Parts Finishing
in 2025.
He has also worked for many years on the board of the Industrial Parts Cleaning Association (FiT), greatly contributing to its success. In September 2024, Herdin organised the 20th
anniversary event of the association with the 32nd Industrial Component Cleaning Conference in Dresden (Germany).
