PPG was awarded for employing ethical business practices and operating with high level of compliance, transparency and integrity.
PPG has recently announced that it has received the 2020-2021 Pro-Ethics seal from the Brazilian Ministry of Transparency
and Federal Comptroller General (CGU), which is granted in partnership with the Ethos Institute.
PPG is the only coatings company that has received the recognition both in the current edition and in the 2018-2019 one. Over 300 companies from different sizes and sectors applied, but only 67 of them were approved and listed in the National Registry of Companies Committed to Ethics and Integrity (Pro-Ethical Company Program).
The objective of the Pro-Ethical Company Program, established in 2010, is to evaluate and then promote companies that voluntarily adopt responsible practices that help to share integrity and trust in business relationships. Through the programme, PPG assesses risks, improves controls, trains key employees and business partners on the Brazilian anti-corruption law, implements due diligence processes for third parties and strategic activities and facilitates a corporate culture where people feel safe to raise issues, concerns or ideas.
"PPG has always prioritized ethical business practices and takes its role in creating a responsible business environment seriously, and the Pro-Ethics seal recognizes our commitment to integrity throughout the PPG value chain. PPG's compliance program has always been quite robust and mature,” stated Marcio Grossmann, the general manager of PPG Brazil.
