NTEA’s Work Truck Week 2025 is taking place from 4th to 7th March in Indianapolis (USA).

The international paints and coatings supplier Sherwin-Williams, with its General Industrial division, is set to showcase innovative coatings designed to boost efficiency and production in the commercial vehicle sector at NTEA’s Work Truck Week 2025.

The transportation and commercial vehicle industry is under constant pressure to reduce costs while increasing capacity, without sacrificing quality. Sherwin-Williams General Industrial division is meeting these demands by working as an extension of its customers’ teams. By learning customers' operations, optimising finishing processes, and implementing solutions that eliminate bottlenecks, Sherwin-Williams is helping manufacturers improve efficiency and reduce waste, turning the paint line into a seamless and cost-effective operation that drives productivity and profitability.

At Work Truck Week, Sherwin-Williams will present real-world examples of how their products have helped customers achieve significant cost savings and operational improvements. Highlights include Duraspar Industrial Performance™ (IP), Genesis®, and Powdura OneCure, which have all contributed to improved production outcomes.

Driving a 300% Productivity Increase

Efficiency on the finishing line is essential to maximising production, and many manufacturers are unaware of the untapped potential for improvement. One such manufacturer sought Sherwin-Williams’ expertise to increase production capacity for a new contract. At the time, their paint process limited them to finishing just one unit per shift.

Sherwin-Williams’ team of experts conducted a thorough audit of the paint line and identified several areas for improvement. By eliminating unnecessary steps, switching to an easy-to-apply polyurethane paint, and streamlining the masking process, Sherwin-Williams helped the company significantly reduce finishing time per unit and cut finishing costs by 75%.

With comprehensive training and ongoing support from Sherwin-Williams’ local Technical Service teams, the manufacturer’s paint line became more efficient, enabling them to produce up to four units per shift. Sherwin-Williams demonstrates that delivering impactful results goes beyond providing top-tier products; it requires a partnership rooted in understanding customers’ operations and a shared commitment to continuous improvement. By transforming finishing lines and eliminating inefficiencies, Sherwin-Williams is creating a win-win situation for both the OEMs and themselves.
