allnex is advancing its sustainability strategy through a key partnership with the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC).
ISCC is a globally recognised certification system ensuring sustainable, deforestation-free, and climate-friendly supply chains. Covering biomass, biogenic waste, recycled carbon materials, and non-biological renewables, ISCC has issued over 11,000 certificates across 130+ countries. The ISCC PLUS certification applies a mass balance approach to track certified materials, seamlessly integrating into allnex’s ISO-9001-certified global management systems.

In collaboration with ISCC, allnex has helped introduce new chemical categories, including polyester acrylates and amino resins, furthering its leadership in sustainable innovation. Since earning its first ISCC PLUS certification at Bergen op Zoom (Netherlands) and Werndorf (Austria) in 2022, allnex has expanded certification to nine global sites.
In 2023, its Drogenbos (Belgium) site became the first ISCC-certified acrylates producer, followed by Lillestrøm (Norway) in 2024, now certified for amino resins. By leveraging ISCC PLUS and the mass balance approach, allnex is driving the transition towards a more sustainable coatings industry.
