The PRONORTEC nanotechnology allowed Chemtec to achieve the Qualisteelcoat certification for the ST2 C3H, SZ1 C3H, SZ2 C4H, HD1 C4H and HD2 C5H classes.
The Italian company CHEMTEC, a global supplier of chemicals for metal pretreatment, has recently received the Qualisteelcoat certification thanks to its nanotechnological passivation product PRONORTEC. This seal of quality therefore consolidates the effectiveness of the solution specifically developed to improve adhesion and increase corrosion resistance during metal pretreatment.
The PRONORTEC nanotechnology is specifically developed to offer a real, simpler, environmentally-friendly and more economical alternative to tricationic/microcrystalline phosphating, guarantying the excellent adhesion of the paint to the metal substrates and very high levels of corrosion resistance at the same time.
PRONORTEC is a single-component process
that does not require the addition of additives to correct the pH or concentration of other components. Furthermore, by harnessing the organic chemistry of phosphorus and containing no heavy metals such as zinc, chromium or nickel, it protects the health of operators and the environment without sacrificing performances.

Qualisteelcoat certification is an international mark developed to validate the quality of paints and coatings, both powder and liquid, applied to new buildings or steel equipment built/used in more or less aggressive environments, as specified in ISO 12944-2. Compliance with the quality requirements is verified by an independent certification and inspection body, recognised by Qualisteelcoat, which issues certification for successfully tested paint and coating cycles. The PRONORTEC nanotechnology passivating solution has met all requirements.
