Rösler Italiana launches a new, environmentally-friendly product for mass finishing, with shapes never used before.
Ecoshape is a new 'media' or granule/chip which formulation stems from the reuse of regenerated PET. If we think about how many plastic bottles we use every day, we immediately realize the potential availability of this material, which should not be demonized but properly handled and reused. Processed and cleaned plastic flakes are the raw material for Rösler's new product: in this way, it draws on a regenerated source, without using solvents and without introducing new raw material into the environment.
The eco feature of Ecoshape entails, on the one hand the reuse of raw material, which would otherwise produce waste; on the other hand, a focus on the safety of the working environment: operators can work in a place free of hazardous substances such as solvents and free silica.
The shape feature of Ecoshape identifies the several possibilities of producing different shapes and geometries – shapes that traditionally are ascribed to other materials but that now can be found in the perfect combination of plastic mixture and geometry.
The innovative production technique has allowed Rösler to reverse the solution approach for the customer, no longer adjusting the choice of the available media to the part to be treated, but starting from the characteristics of the part to study and produce a new effective and appropriate shape of the media to achieve the finishing goal.
Performances during production have given excellent results for finishing, abrasion and cutting.
With Ecoshape, Rösler has redefined the geometry of shapes, with a focus on the environmental sustainability of the product.
