DAPRO® BIO 9910 is the new 96% biobased defoamer developed by Elementis to offer an eco-friendly alternative for coating formulations.
Elementis has recently presented DAPRO® BIO 9910, a new 96% biobased carbon content and C14 verified defoamer that offers more sustainability and performance in coatings formulations as well as enhanced environmental benefits. The international specialty chemical supplier of rheology modifiers for paint, coating and industrial aqueous applications has specifically developed DAPRO BIO 9910 to provide a renewable product that outperforms traditional mineral oil solutions.
Defoamers effectively eliminate foam and prevent the formation of bubbles during paint manufacturing, application, and storage. DAPRO BIO 9910 can then be used in water-based formulations to improve durability and longevity of architectural and industrial coatings, as it provides long-term effectiveness and best reproducibility thanks to its excellent storage stability and no phase separation over a long-period of time.
Although traditional defoamers usually relies on petroleum-based ingredients, raising concerns about their environmental impact and sustainability, the new solution of Elementis is an eco-friendly alternative to conventional products – since it is mostly derived from renewable vegetable oil.
