Lechler presented ‘Laque of Como’, a new special colour created to celebrate the Lario during the Giro di Lombardia.
Lechler has recently presented ‘Laque of Como’, a new special colour scheme applied to the Aurum Magma 2 bicycle of cyclist Davide Piganzoli that had been created specifically to celebrate the Lario (also known as Lake Como) during ‘Il Lombardia’: this competition is one of the most important races in the ICU - International Cycling Union calendar. The annual edition started in Bergamo and ended in Como.
The paint manufacturer has therefore further consolidated its collaboration with the Team Polti Kometa and at the same time seized the opportunity to tell the story of the Como area by celebrating its most well-known and recognisable symbol: the bicycle in fact features iridescent shades that recall some of the variations that the Como Lake takes on depending on the light and the surrounding landscape.
“What colour is Lake Como? There is no single answer. Our beloved lake changes mood and appearance depending on the seasons, the surrounding landscape, the weather conditions and the sunlight. Being a Como-based company like Polti and having the privilege of hosting the finish of a classic race like the ‘Il Lombardia’, we created a celebratory colour for the Aurum Magma 2 bicycle of Davide Piganzoli which we named ‘Laque of Como,’ recalling the colours and effects of Lake Como and inheriting some of its characteristics: it is lively and shifting,” has stated Alessandra Damaschino, Marketing & Communication Manager of Lechler.
