Date: 06/02/2025

Lubrizol increases its dispersant range with Solsperse™ W60 Hyperdispersant, that improves pigment dispersion and stability in waterborne paints.

The science-based company Lubrizol Corporation has recently announced the launch of the new Solsperse™ W60 Hyperdispersant, an APE-free polymeric dispersant with excellent compatibility in oil-based alkyd paints that has been specifically developed to improve pigment dispersion and stability in waterborne coatings. The new Solsperse W60 enables universal colourants and is highly effective at dispersing both organic and inorganic materials, making it ideal for paint systems that contain high levels of fillers along with the pigment.

“Our latest innovation in dispersant technology can also be used as a post-additive, improving compatibility between water-based colourants and a variety of base paint chemistries. With high colour development, colour strength and pigment loading, the compatibility of Solsperse W60 expands the capabilities of universal colourants, which can be used for both water and solvent-containing architectural base paints” has stated Alison Drasdo, the global marketing manager of Lubrizol.
