Preparations for Railtex/Infrarail 2021, the meeting place for the rail industry, are well underway.
Railtex/Infrarail, the event that will gather together the railway industry in Birmingham from 7th to 9th
September, will have a new hybrid format to better adapt to the challenging circumstances posed by the global pandemic.
Mack-Brooks Exhibitions, the organisers of the events, have decided to co-locate Railtex and Infrarail to better serve the demands of the markets. After that Infrarail was postponed due to COVID-19, the exhibitions will now provide the railway industry and its supply chain with new technologies and innovations – ranging from total railway systems to the more small and specialised components.
The new hybrid format
The new setup of Railtex/Infrarail will merge the onsite offering with interactive digital networking. A matchmaking system will connect visitors to relevant suppliers based on complementary profiles, aiming to promote fruitful exchanges and the establishment of new commercial partnerships. Moreover, visitors who won’t be able to attend because of travel restrictions will be able to explore latest innovations and services online.
RIA’s “Future Focus Conference” will also offer insights into four major themes:
- Growth: how to ensure rail supporting investment, jobs and GDP;
- Geography: how to reach every corner of the country;
- Green: how decarbonise rail industry and the supply chain;
- Global: how to profit from opportunities all around the world.
The event will include keynotes, Q&A sessions and panel discussions held by industry experts, including Graham Stuart (MP, Minister for Exports), Robert Ampomah (Chief Technology Officer, Network Rail) and Mike Muldoon (Head of Business Development UK & Ireland, Alstom).
In addition, RIA, Network Rail and UKRRIN (UK Rail Research & Innovation Network of universities) will host three sessions focused on new ideas that will benefit the railway sector, as well as its passengers and economy.
Ticket registration is now available. Online tickets for Railtex/Infrarail 2021 are free of charge and will give attendees fast-track admission to the event. Entrance tickets are valid on all three days of the exhibition and include free access to all conferences and associated events.
