The next edition of SMFC will bring together maritime industry stakeholders from across Scandinavia and beyond for two days of knowledge and inspiration.
With the maritime industry continuing to navigate new horizons, the Scandinavian Maritime Fair and Conference - SMFC will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a new flexible concept that will bring together maritime industry professionals and stakeholders from across Scandinavia and beyond for two days of knowledge exchange and inspiration. The event will take place from 14th to 15th
May 2024 at the Øksnehallen in Copenhagen (Denmark), an historic high-ceilinged old palace constructed in 1889 as a cattle market.
The trade fair was initially launched in conjunction with the Danish Maritime Days back in 2014. In order to celebrate its anniversary, the SMFC is evolving with a renewed international perspective and an adaptable format aimed at maximising engagement and value. The participants can experience a wide selection of exhibitors and presentations showcasing the latest innovations and trends within the maritime sector.
Concurrent with the exhibition, the conference offers a strong programme of sessions addressing key challenges and opportunities:
- Recruitment and Retention: cultural differences and life on-board;
- Nuclear: drivers and barriers;
- Digitalisation and maritime security;
- Underwater radiated noise: challenges and solutions;
- Long-term environmental sustainability in shipping;
- Maritime Energy Transition in the Nordics (Project MAREN).
The visitors of the Scandinavian Maritime Fair and Conference will be able to tailor their experience by selecting and buying access to individual sessions of interest, as well as 1-day and 2-day tickets. The exhibition has free access subject to registration.
