The new strategy of Sika will allow the company to maintain a high level of growth while also achieving net zero targets by 2050.
Sika AG has recently presented “Our Path to Net Zero”, a new sustainable strategy that will allow the company to maintain a stable level of growth while also achieving at the same time its net zero targets by 2050.
Sika is developing a range of sustainable solutions for the automotive and construction industry, as well as other industrial applications for several further sectors. Eco-friendliness and sustainability
have been a major factor in the corporate strategy of the company for over a decade and now it has announced that it is focused on innovating in a very targeted manner in order to achieve its net zero carbon footprint objectives
by 2050.
“To tackle climate change is of central importance even in more demanding economic environments. Our clear goal is to continue growing sustainably and deploy new innovations to decouple our growth from greenhouse gas emissions. We intend to use ground-breaking solutions that enable our customers to reduce their CO2 emissions. As a leading innovator, we can play a key role in enabling the achievement of net zero targets in our markets, which positions Sika very well for continued growth and for the future,” has declared Thomas Hasler, the CEO of Sika AG.
During the Sika Capital Markets Day 2022 – a corporate live event held in front of more than 200 people on 4th October in Zurich – the members of the Board of Directors of the company also demonstrated how the innovations of Sika will accelerate the path to net zero carbon emissions, how its resilient and agile business model will generate sustainable growth, how forward-looking topics such as digitalisation and automation will transform the construction industry and the importance of electromobility, wind and solar energy.
