Dow has selected AB Specialty Silicones as an authorised distributor for the elastomeric roof coating market in U.S.A. and Canada.
Dow has recently announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with AB Specialty Silicones that will allow the company to market its functional silicone polymers for elastomeric roof coating (ERC) in the United States of America and Canada.
AB Specialty Silicones is an American manufacturer and distributor of specialty silicone chemicals. The silicones allow to achieve an excellent UV stability and resistance to ponding water, especially valued for White Reflective Roof coating applications. Silicone ERCs are then liquid-applied coatings that cure into a durable and highly-elastic waterproof film for flat or low-sloping roofs.
The partnership will support the recent investment of Dow in silicone polymer, adding significant capacity to the North American market, as AB Specialty Silicones has deep knowledge and relationships across the sector along with formulation and technical service expertise and bulk storage capabilities.
