The new spectro2go XS tool from BYK further simplifies colour quality control for small parts in the paint and coatings industry.
BYK Instruments has announced that it has expanded its portfolio of portable spectrophotometers with the launch of the new spectro2go XS tool, the most recent innovation of its renowned range.
Introduced in 2018, the spectro2guide was a market innovation in several aspects, from its vertical design – where form follows function, ensuring that the large touchscreen is always visible – to the combination of three measurement principles in one: colour, gloss and fluorescence.
Launched in 2020, the spectro2guide PRO instrument offered also higher precision for exact deep black measurements. Now, the spectro2go XS with a reduced measurement aperture (∅ 5 mm) for colour quality control of small parts completes this family.
All models share an intuitive icon-based menu and an integrated camera that provides a real-time preview of the measurement point, ensuring precise positioning even on the smallest samples. Additionally, the spectro2go XS tool uses innovative high-performance LED technology as a light source, which – thanks to its performance, short and long-term stability, temperature control and homogeneous illumination of the measurement point – results in excellent accuracy and great instrument-to-instrument agreement, with a dE94 <0.11
