The new Interpon A5000 powder coatings provide an excellent corrosion protection and a durable finish for commercial vehicles.
The international paints and coatings manufacturer AkzoNobel has recently presented its new Interpon A5000 range, that has been specifically developed to ensure the consistent and long-lasting protection of commercial vehicles for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers needing to combine performance with sustainability.
From trucks and trailers to buses and specialty vehicles, commercial vehicles require powder coating solutions that are as robust as the parts they protect. In addition, commercial vehicle manufacturers also necessitate products that can support their sustainability efforts, reducing energy consumption, CO2 emissions and costs.
The new Interpon A5000 powder coatings range for commercial vehicles is then suitable to cover and protect the truck cabs, chassis, front grills, bodies, bumpers and several other parts, ensuring an excellent corrosion protection even in challenging environments and a durable finish that lasts longer.
“Interpon A5000 range is trusted by many of the major OEMs and fabricators for their reliability and performance, but also for the flexibility and efficiency that they can bring to their operations. Partnering with us enables manufacturers to add world-leading protection, colour and finish to their world-class vehicles and parts,” has stated Martina Lösgen, the global manager for the agricultural, construction and earthmoving equipment and the commercial vehicles.
The full range Interpon A5000 includes not only primers, but also topcoats, clearcoats and coatings that have been specifically designed to withstand multiple challenges, such as damages caused by UV light and chemicals like petrol, diesel and oil. Furthermore, the new portfolio includes powder coatings that cure at lower temperatures, further reducing processing times, energy consumption and waste. Moreover, besides being free from volatile organic compounds and allowing to recycle and reuse any overspray, the new paints develop by AkzoNobel are easy to apply for a right first-time finish that accelerates production volumes and avoids the need for costly re-working.
