The calm after the storm.
May meant for many Italians the end of a lockdown that lasted almost three months and the slow return to normal.
We too have finally been able to return to our editorial office where, after the implementation of the necessary security measures, all desks have been occupied once again.
In May we have published what we hope to be the last issues created under lockdown: the ipcm Automotive special, one of the most important numbers of the year, with the supplement ICTIndustrial Cleaning Technologies, and the May editions of ipcmIbérica and ipcm_LatinoAmérica.
Publishing these issues and those that preceded them during lockdown would not have been possible without the collaboration with our customers and partners, who demonstrated great proactiveness and willingness. And it is thanks to this synergy that, even in a period in which travelling was impossible, we were still able to publish exclusive articles and interviews, such as the report on the new automatic coating cells for the application of the basecoat on body interiors manufactured at FCA Group's Pomigliano headquarters; or the one on the new powder coating line for Formas Descansos' medical beds.
ipcm_Academy courses also took place in May but in a slightly different way than usual: trainees were trained on corrosion, pre-treatment and water treatment online for the first time ever. To know more about our training offer, contact us at corsi@ipcm.it.
Although our daily routine has been partly restored, what we have experienced is an unprecedented historical period, which we have not yet fully put behind us and which has left a grave impact on the industry. This is why we are working on a project to give voice to several companies at an international level, with the aim of offering a direct and unfiltered testimony of what it meant (and still means) to be an entrepreneur and do business at the times of Coronavirus.
