The NACE Milano Italia Section, one of the largest sections of the European Area of the NACE International, is delighted to invite international companies and organizations to the NACE Milano Italia Section – Conference & Expo 2016.
The meeting will take place from May 29 to May 31, 2016 in Genoa, a historical port in northern Italy, renowned for its beautiful sights, European Capital of Culture in 2004, and birthplace of Cristoforo Colombo.
The venue will be the "Magazzini del Cotone" (Cotton Warehouse) Conference Center, located inside the Old Port. The meeting rooms of the "Magazzini del Cotone" are a unique location for conferences organized in the center of Genoa, within its Old Port area renovated in 1992 by Renzo Piano. The halls of the "Magazzini del Cotone" overlook the Gulf of Genoa and the most touristic area of the city, and enables you to enjoy the view of historical buildings of the city and of its evocative fortifications.
The meeting will offer a technical program of the highest standards, covering all aspects of corrosion in the Oil & Gas industry. Several hundreds of scientists, technologists, and end-users of the field are expected. Topics will range from Protective Coatings to Corrosion of Weldments, from Oil & Gas Materials and Corrosion to Oil Refinery, from Cathodic Protection to Failure Analysis.
The Scientific Committee is composed of the Chairs of each Technical Session and of representatives from European companies, associations and organizations. Among them, Chris Fowler from Exova, Maurizio Brancaleoni from IVS, Perry Nice from Statoil, Alberto Lauro and Fausto Capelli from IIS and Centro Inox, respectively.
The Conference aims to become a permanent forum for specialists dealing with all fundamental, engineering and applied aspects of the field of corrosion and related subjects. The meeting is devised to survey recent advances in theory and fundamentals, as well as in practical applications and industrial implementation of corrosion prevention in all fields of Oil & Gas industry from inspection to materials and repair methodologies, from inhibitors to monitoring and control, from standards to testing.
Short courses, as well as social and cultural events will be available for delegates and their guests.
The target of the Conference is to bring researchers, engineers, end-users, technical experts, representatives of leading organizations and companies together to achieve an exchange of experience and ideas, so as to promote further advances in research and development of materials and methodologies for corrosion control and prevention.
