Thomas Loibl Appointed Global Chief Operating Officer.
On September 1, 2015, Thomas Loibl was appointed to the Executive Board of TIGER Coatings GmbH & Co. KG. The industrial engineer joined the powder coatings manufacturer with headquarters in Wels in 2013, and was most recently responsible for its ten plant facilities on four continents. In his new function as Global COO, he will be in charge of the Production and Process areas as part of the Executive Board for TIGER Group.
The TIGER Coatings Executive Board now consists of four members: Global CEO Ing. Kurt Berghofer; Global CEO DI Dr. Clemens Steiner (since 2003 on EB); Global CFO Dr. Reinhold Freiseisen (since 2012 on EB) and as of September 1, 2015 Thomas Loibl, Ing. Dipl.Wirtsch.Ing (FH).
Kurt Berghofer, a member of the second generation of the owning family, states: "I am pleased to further strengthen our global executive board. Thomas Loibl is an expert for production and process management, with more than 25 years' experience in large-scale industry."
Personal details
Thomas Loibl (49) is married and has two grown children. He began his professional career in the chemical industry, and worked for several years at the companies Chemie Linz, OMV, DSM and Banner. During this time, he gained experience in management roles in production management, plant commissioning, engineering and as plant manager for pharmaceutical ingredients. In his leisure time, he likes to travel and, as a passionate sailor, he enjoys sailing on nearby Lake Atter, when time permits.
