Patrice Pinsard, Perstorp’s new EVP Strategic Markets & Innovation, will work on expanding the specialty chemicals portfolio.
Perstorp has announced that, on 18th October, Patrice Pinsard was appointed as the new executive vice-president for strategic markets and innovation of the company. Pinsard will be focused on driving value creation and growth for the portfolio of specialty chemicals, with a special emphasis on Resins & Coatings and Engineered Fluids.
Pinsard is considered an experienced executive thanks to its long and proven track record in the chemicals industry, a PhD in Fine Chemicals from the Université de Rennes (France) and a MSc in Chemical Engineering from Ecole Nationale de Chimie de Rennes. Previously to assuming this new role, he held senior positions in several companies such as Rhodia and Cognis. More recently, he was the Global EVP for Coatings, Industrial Solutions & Amines at Solvay.
“I am very proud to be joining the team as I believe Perstorp has all the means to grow as a true specialty company that will create sustainable solutions for a great future”, stated Pinsard.
“We are excited to have such an experienced professional as Patrice joining us at this stage in our transformation. His appointment fits perfectly with our strategy of focusing more on selective segments and the specialty part of our portfolio. Patrice has proven more than once that he knows what it takes and with his strong result orientation and track record, I am convinced this will be a win-win, for us and him”, added the president and CEO of Perstorp, Jan Secher.
At the beginning of 2021, Perstorp redefined its business strategy in order to become one of the most important sustainable solutions providers, focusing specifically on the global Resins & Coatings, Engineered Fluids and Animal Nutrition business lines. Perstorp will then apply its specialty chemicals growth initiatives mainly on selected customer segments where innovation and services are prioritised, with a focus on Asia as the main driver for future growth.
