The new powder coatings production plant of Qemtex in the UAE will become one of the largest in the region.
Qemtex Chemical Holding has recently announced the inauguration of its new powder coatings facility in Umm Al Quwain (United Arab Emirates). The plant will be focused on manufacturing architectural, industrial and specialised powder coatings. Qemtex plans to allocate at least 30% of its production to the domestic market, with the remaining 70% destined for export to GCC, MENA, EU and US markets.
“We have assembled a strong international team of experts with up to thirty years of industry experience from a dozen countries. This allows us to develop innovative and environmentally-friendly solutions for clients from all around the world,” has declared Alexandr Glukhov, the CEO of Qemtex.
The company has already invested around $16 million in production facilities and a state-of-the-art research and development centre that is designed to become one of the major powder coatings hubs in the region. In addition, the production capacity of the new site – which has now an initial output of 5,000 tons per year – will be further increased to 10,000 tons during a second stage.
“Experts estimate that the global powder coatings market will grow by 5.5% annually through 2029, creating favourable conditions for our ambitious plans. With the growing global demand for powder coatings, the new plant is just the first step in our international strategic development programme to become one of the best global producers,” has stated Zhandos Temirgali, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qemtex.
