Vollert will showcase its new coating systems at PaintExpo 2024, which takes place from 9th to 12th April in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Vollert has announced its participation at PaintExpo 2024 to present its multi-storey coating systems
for large parts, even for loads of up to 30 tonnes.
Vollert's multi-storey systems are designed to expand production capacity in a small area, even for coating large part – offering several advantages, including reduced distances as well as no new area sealing and direct proximity to production and assembly.
For example, the company has recently developed a two-level coating system for the machine and plant manufacturer KraussMaffei, where workpieces move twelve metres in height, the coating and processing area
is located on the second floor and the space below at ground level is used for internal material flow. The automated areas, such as drying or buffering workpieces, are transferred to the heights of the multi-storey systems, while activities involving the movement of people are carried out on the lower levels.
"Painting lines on several levels are common in the automotive industry. We transfer the space-saving concept to heavy and large loads and show how an existing production area can be compacted. The heavy load experts draw their know-how from decades of experience in the construction of multi-storey production lines for precast concrete plants or aluminium and steel rolling mills, among other things,” has explained Jochen Keinath, Head of Surface Technology Sales at Vollert.
